2010 brought me to Vancouver Island, BC. Lots of water carved caves, oceanside scrambling. The lack of employment opportunities won in the end. Eventually I started to feel claustrophobic. There were days when no form off transportation was functional. Kind of scary. My other job lies within the homeless and addicted populations in Vancouver. Needless to say, I am not busy. I wish I could photograph people on the other side.

What a year, limited photography, lots of things related to shooting. Lots of changes, lots of nothing. It was a tough one. Some days I wasnt sure how Id make it out, other days felt full of abundance. Lots of new relationships, reconnecting, solitude. New city, old city. I fell in love with my lover over and over again. I am eager to start the new year and feel inspired all around. And I have a new camera. Do do dooo. K.

I live in Vancouver and its raining at the end of October. This is a new thing for me and something I love very much. There is some satisfaction in waking up in the morning and hearing the raindrops on the windowpane above my head, slipping my feet into rubber boots and walking around on the shiny concrete littered with beautiful colors. Its like a rainbow just puked all over the place. (Ok bad analogy but I work in addictions...) This is the first halloween I will experience in the big city of Vancouver and I get to be a bird queen. No, I dont know what an actually bird queen looks like, but its my interpretation. Tried out my studio light
